JeffreyK
It's been a great RIAT Saturday last weekend, in spite of the rather dull weather conditions at times. The flying displays were superb, perhaps the only down sides were FOUR separate Typhoon displays and FOUR separate F-16 displays. Yes, each were a bit different, but still...there are other actively flying aircraft available... And no Vulcan. Here's a selection of the better shots, more is on my Photobucket. The star of the show: Cheers, Jeffrey
Latinbear
Those are a first class set of images. Perfectly sharp, right exposure and some lovely atmospheric effects too. I would be thrilled to have shot them. I agree entirely with your comments on the number of Eurofighter and F16 displays. Nice to see the aircraft but just too many of the same type all in one day. Maybe it was it my imagination but the displays seemed seem further away from the crowd line and at a higher altitude than last year which made the experience feel rather more remote. Nevertheless it was a very good show, just a shame about the weather.
oggy4624
Nice shots. I did 3 shows last weekend, IAT, legends and the failed farnborough with 5200 raw shots to go through. A few late nights ahead

JeffreyK
Thank you! This was my first air show with both a new lens and new body. I already had the new lens (70-300) last year but the old camera gave up during RIAT 2015... So now with the new equipment plus some better insight into appropriate settings I got a lot more usable shots than any year before. My tracking is still not really good and I'm shaking too much and I can't expect shots like the "pros" with their £££££ equipment, but I'm more than happy with the results. Cheers!
