Alpha Delta 210
Hi all I have just returned from my usual three-day pilgrimage to RIAT. I have already posted some F-22 and F-35 shots, so here's the best of the rest from Friday with a sprinkling of Lightning IIs and Raptors! Thanks for looking.
F-32
Love it
Alpha Delta 210
Thanks F-32 and everyone who has "liked" my post. I don't enjoy being crushed like a sardine on the fence line at Fairford, but RIAT really is now the only place in the UK that you get to see a full day of fast jets and heavy metal. Seahawk
That F-35B on take-off is as big an aerodynamic mess as a Barracuda on a bad day.
canberraman
Lovely shots as usual, its a shame that the weather was rather overcast for so much of the weekend but you did very well in the circumstances Kind regard Mark
Alpha Delta 210
Thanks chaps. The weather was indeed typically British, making photography a bit tricky! I am on business overseas at the moment, but will post some more pictures from the weekend displays when I get back.

Simon382
Simply stunning pics but still not sure about the F35, especially in the hover. Just looks far too complicated!?!
Parabat
Some stunning pics, the Raptor and the Super Hornet pics are great, they certainly look like they threw the Raptor about. Thanks for posting your pics.
colin
Lovely photos, I hope someone does a 1/48 decal sheet of that centenary Mirage asap. Or is there one out there already
stever219
That F-35B on take-off is as big an aerodynamic mess as a Barracuda on a bad day. The F-35 in any configuration makes the Barracuda look soooooooo sexy!
Alpha Delta 210
Thanks for taking the time to comment guys. I was excited to see the F-35 for the first time, buy I'm certainly not a fan of its appearance (especially in the hover)!!
Alpha Delta 210
Here is the last batch of images from last Sunday at RAF Fairford. Thanks for looking. Until next year......
Latinbear
Those are a first class set of images! You've captured some great atmospheric effects including the little beard on the Spanish Eurofighter and the blurring effects from the slow shutter speed on the backgrounds are very impressive. A cracking set from a very good show. Thanks for sharing.
Rickpadwick1801
Amazing images, AD210. Your images from Sunday definitely put mine to shame. You look like you were more towards the departure end of the runway rather than the centre of it (near the P-8 Poseidon) where I was. I will post some of mine but definitely not as good as yours or Radleighs. RIAT was my hopeful kick in the behind to reenter the world of model building which has been in long term shutdown since last year....probably a lot of very dusty kits in my cupboard (including my hopefully undamaged finished builds). Calum
lovely photos. I think I'm going to make the trek from down under next year
Alpha Delta 210
Thanks for the kind words guys. On Friday and Saturday, I was just to the right of crowd centre, and on Sunday, I was at the "piano keys". @ Calum: RIAT is a great show (supposedly the largest military air show in the world), but it is always better on a Farnborough year, so you might be better visiting in 2018!
