Ettore
Hi All There are too GB that I like: Great patriotic war, Fw 190, Airliner III, MTO...........its impossible to do all ! Anyway I'll try, after Great patriotic war I'll start this Fw 190 GB, is right opportunity to build new Eduard 1/72 kit; I've an A-8 profipack, an A-5 still profipack and an A8-R2 weekend. I'll do the A5, but I I'm undecided for version: W.Novotny's plane or the machine of H.Graf ? the first have a simple camouflage but with one russian green used, the second is most colored as marking (red tulip)........I should like to know your opinion, are two nice versions, I am very attracted to the version of Nowotny, for to the right historical research on green, german and russian........ As you see, there are many aftermarket set, but I not used all.... Byeeeeee Ettore Edited August 21, 2016 by Ettore

Ettore
Oh Thanks Jes ! I love more this airplane and I hope not to disappoint you Next week I'll in holiday, two weeks, and for a number of various reasons I remain in town I will devote myself to the modelling, fishing (trolley and spinning) and I'll try the new car on hills around Genova Ettore Edited July 18, 2016 by Ettore
Ettore
Hi All The profipack Eduard's kit are complete and pleasant , but sometimes , we modelers, want to hurt us as masochists; I will try to replace the cockpit of the box with one of Brassin resin.First I prepared the pieces: Then, knowing my patience, after two hours I gave color, usually RLM 66, a bit 'lightened, soiled with sand near the pedals, and a washing line into the inside corners By the way ! I chose the airplane of Walter Nowotny in Russia during 1943 Ettore Edited July 24, 2016 by Ettore

Kahunaminor
Nice one, I struggle at 48 scale, hats off to you to make 72 scale look that good! Regards,
Ettore
I managed to close the fuselage, but unexpectedly appeared a step which I quickly filled with Mr. Surfacer 1500 I used eduard's tool to give a right angle to the prop, note as resin spinner is smaller of plastic piece Ettore
Parabat
That is odd that the Eduard Brassin spinner is smaller than the kit's one.
Ettore
A nice saturday to all ! I ended to mount wheel bay, then I closed wings and glued at fuselage, not was so easy, but not all kits are perfect I have not spent much time on engine : alluminium, black washing, dry brushing dark grey al silver on vent; note the putty on the edge of the wings. Another two pictures with a general vision Today elbow grease to sanding Regards Ettore Edited July 30, 2016 by Ettore

Ettore
Good evening to All Other small steps: the coloring of wheel bay Almost complete the general forms of the kit, missing only the ailerons and finally I replaced the plastic gun with other from hypodermic needles And now, may be tomorrow, start of coloring Ettore

Touvdal
Very nice work Ettore But i think that you have used the F wing no MG FF bulges, unless that you are building a F version cheers Jes
Ettore
Hi Jes ! First Thanks In the notice is clearly indicated that the Nowotny airplane was without bulge (underside) and also in other publications (Jagdwaffe, Im focus, Airframe Album); in the box there are two wing and under sides are with and without bulge (under, for different armaments), here the notice Eduard: http://www.eduard.com/store/out/media/70116.pdf Ettore
Ettore
Hi All With little scale I prefer, sometimes, to utilize two or three primers; in this case we have a medium grey for underside, light grey for both laterals of fuselages and a white for upperside It is very important to smoothen surfaces, after half an hour of drying, with a cloth buckskin, even synthetic is okay. The primers are blue for underside and black for upperside Ettore
Touvdal
OK, your doing Nowotny's a/c, and he had the outbord canons removed, there are a exelent photo series in Luftwaffe im Focus no. 11 p. 22-27 cheers Jes Edited August 7, 2016 by Touvdal

Ettore
Good Afternoon The holidays are finish and tomorrow I return to work..................damn! In these two weeks, however, I think I well have done someting in my kits; Friday, Saturday and today I engaged only on a part of the camouflage. I started with yellow bands and RLM 76, lightness with a bit of Light grey.......I'll do an airplane very clean The choice of the lighter of the two greens was more difficult, I do not think that profiles tell the truth, but I have read some articles, contrasting with each other, and decided as follows: the lighter green is a combination of an Olive green and a khaki green of Gunze aqueous. Some small flou spots of RLM 75 are on the tail Have you noted how the panels on the wings are clear in the middle? This is the white primer which discolors them automatically, but with the darker green, RLM 70 Gunze, the effect will be less noticeable. Bye bye Ettore

Ettore
Hi guysSome other small step toward ending, First, I made the big yellow stripe on the fuselage and the spiral of half of spinner, this spinner is is half RLM 70 and the front half black with yellow spiral Then I started and finished the detail of trucks and finally one of the most beautiful step: the decals Next time I hope to show you with paneling and matt varnish on surfaces Take a nice evening Ettore
