Hello from Deepest Darkest er Bracknell

Recommended Posts

Hello all. Much like many people I make kits as a kid, then had a wee gap and I'm now trying to get back into the game. Mainly enjoy 1/700 floaty things but dabbling with some Star Wars minis as well. Reason I got back into it was I wanted to get my Dad something different from the norm for his 70th. Came up with the idea of making a model of one of the ships he served in and one that my Grandad served in as they we both RN. So after seeral months of hunting on line I ended up getting and making HMS Danae F47 from the MT Minatures HMS Leander, and converting the Tamiya E class destroyer to look vaguely like HMS Faulknor circa 1942. Once I get to my computer I'll be putting up some pics of these along with some of a Niko models HMS Faulknor (HMS Hardy in disguise) and a weird little distraction project, an X wing in air superiority camouflage, well it used up some of they greys I'd accumulated! Cheers all

Geoff

Welcome! I grew up in Bracknell (I'm only mildly scarred by the experience) living around the corner from Ranelagh school, if you know it? Look forward to seeing your builds etc

Hi All, thanks for the warm welcome! Eric Mc, Kallisti, haven't even considered joining a club, although it sounds like a good plan, with the added bonus of getting away from SWMBO!
