JonBoy65
Are you going to be doing the Airfix one? John. Hi John Apologies for not replying sooner but I have just joined have only just seen your post! Also, having finally worked out how to post images I then find that I should have posted in RFI, not WIP! Yes, this is the Airfix FAW9 and former gate guard at Staverton, Glos. It is only my second airbrush attempt and first at weathering, so I am still very much on the steep part of the learning curve. Jon
theplasticsurgeon
Yes, this is the Airfix FAW9 and former gate guard at Staverton, Glos. Hi Jon, Nice build - good airbrushing result. Only problem is XH903 has never had a refueling probe or wing tanks. I don't know why Airfix mislead modellers into thinking that she did. She currently dominates at Jet Age museum. JonBoy65
Yes, i should have remembered re: absence of probe - have seen the original enough times! Cheers
The Spadgent
No problem at all. I bought this kit as a tribute to the one that stood guard at perdiswell park in the 80s. You seem to have done a great job. Did you take shots through the build so you can do a WIP? Welcome to BM by the way. Take care and happy modelling. John. JonBoy65
Thanks John - praise indeed. I didnt realise BM even existed during the build, so it didnt occur to me to chronicle the progress. That said, being my first proper airbrush attempt, not sure i would have wanted you boys peering over my shoulder anyhow! BW Jon
The Spadgent
Trust me it's half the fun. I'm new here too. Everyone is super helpful even and especially if you slip up. Hope you have fun with your next build. Take care. John.
