loose English translation:

This year´s Nymburk Kit Salon saw not only the premiere of our 1/32 Tempest and 1/72 Mirage F.1B kits, but we are quite happy
to have also been able to show what the modeller might expect soon. And the new special announcement was the 1/72 CASA C-212 Aviocar
twin-engined transport aircraft model kit. There is no doubting that the CASA is really very interesting plane with a plethora of versions,
camouflage schemes and operators and one may expect to find the CASA C-212 at any destination except for those covered by the L-410 Turbolet
(famous Czech transport aircraft of similar category) and sometimes it´s even possible they meet face to face, so to say.
There is still one CASA tooling block to be produced and we also have to address some issues that have occured during production
of the first test shots that you can inspect in the photos accompanying this instance of our blog. For example, that huge aperture in the
Swedish radar nose part is not meant to be fitted with some kind of weapon as one may expect, this hole is not to be found on the production
shots, it will have been amended by then. And as almost every operator of this type chose its own fuselage side door arrangement, you can find one of the kit´s
sprues devoted almost only to those side panel doors variants. As the basic type to be kitted the CASA C-212-100/200 was chosen, those longing
for a Dash 300 or 400 subtypes will have to use the alternative forward fuselage sections and also apply a bit of modeller´s skills while cutting off the original short nose.
But one or two cuts with your favourite knife should be enough.

Hello Petr,
This is a very nice choice for a kit. As you say there were many operators; for me Spanish will be interesting. Vac form and Resin are available, but it is time this was tooled in injection moulding, so thank you.

Could I possibly ask something? I have very many Special Hobby/MPM/Azur/Frrom kits - you are (no schmoozing) probably my favourite manufacturer. From Loire to Lockheed, Mirage to Buchon, it is an astounding range.

Now, many years ago it was said Special Hoby would be tooling a Potez 25, and a Breguet 19. When the Romanian IAR aircraft kits were issued, I felt pretty sure the Potez 25 must be close due to similarities, but no news yet .

Recently some of us here on BM asked AZ if they would be issuing either Potez 25 or Breguet 19, and the reply was that there was an agreement that Special Hobby would be producing them.

We can buy expensive Omega Breguet 19 for sure, and it is nice, but so very expensive. We can also pay the ridiculous collectors prices for Merlin and Hit Kit Potez 25's but frankly, both these are absolutely terrible kits requiring weeks and weeks of one's life to make good. It can bt done and has been, but it is not very much fun for the hobby modeller.

Well, all I ask is, any news at all on a lovely injection moulded Potez 25 and/or Breguet 19? Both were in service with so many airforces worldwide. The decal and version choices are immense, so must be the sales market, surely more than e.g. the IAR, the Stampe Vertongen (a lovely kit)?

Again, thank you for this, your Letov, Mirage, superb Northrop N3PB and Boomerang to name but a few, I'm not complaining, just encouraging. I will be buying at least one Casa 212 ;)
Best regards
Tony
