rockpopandchips
Unit one is down, i repeat, Unit one is down! The core fight is out but the Gundam is down. I had a great time putting this together as my first diorama, it depicts the start of Star Dust Memories as if Zeon managed to take down Unit one in Australian. I hope you like it and as usual any comments welcome. I really struggled to photo this so excuse the crap pictures, I really must get a proper camera. and a terrible video as well, http://vid1145.photobucket.com/albums/o513/brian07900/Mobile%20Uploads/20160612_183026_zpsq2me3ank.mp4

Thud4444
That turned out really good. I really like the weathering on the shield. Looks like Kou is having a bad day at the office. Now to build another diorama of an Dom Tropen reloading its bazooka to put beside it. Or if your really nuts,(and have tons of money) a Xamel with a smoking 680mm canon!
rockpopandchips
The the Origin 007 YMS-08B DOM would look really cool next to this....mmmmmmmmmm.A Xamel would be nuts but way out of my price range, i take they are still like hens teeth. I have a mad Astray forced prospective dio idea. Looking through a window into a hanger. I would use a 1/35 head in fore ground and PG 1/60 in the mid and a RG 1/144 in the background. It would be a monster dio and im not sure if i could pull it off but i have the RG and the PG in the post at the moment, its just an idea. Thud4444
I've always wanted to do poor Lt Burning's GM "C" trying to fist fight a Xamel from 0083. Then I see the prices a Xamel goes for and change my mind. Heck, I really just want an Xamel to put on the shelf next to a Hildolfr. Maybe one Bandai will make an affordable 1/144 scale kit. That forced prospective idea sounds cool. We had a guy here locally do that with Macross models and Battletech minis. He built a hanger that started at 1/48 then went to 72, 100, 144 and 285. They where all painted in the colors of the Storms Metal Thunder mercenaries from Battletech. It was really cool. It was from the perspective of an open bay door. Your idea of a window and large scale heads actually sounds cooler. Edited June 17, 2016 by Thud4444
Will Vale
I've always wanted to do poor Lt Burning's GM "C" trying to fist fight a Xamel from 0083. "BURNING CHUI!" So unfair, you could tell what was going to happen but he was such a great character. Awesome scene Rockpopandchips, the scale of the ground (which is easy to get wrong) feels just right and I love the explosions. I think the white picture frame sets it off very well too. I have just ordered the MSO Dom (on special!) after resisting it a couple of times earlier this year... The giant-axe-wielding Zaku is cool too Cheers, Will

Thud4444
Will, I know what you mean. I saw the first copies of 0083 when they where released over here on VHS. As a matter of fact, it was the second series I saw after 0080. (Speaking of depressing, geez) I should have seen it coming, but dang... that threw me for a loop. It just came out of no where. This was way before the internet, so my knowledge of the story was nill. Even today that ending is a downer. Stardust is still my favorite Gundam series. In my opinion, it's the gold standard for a prequel in any genre. It doesn't just add to the story of Zeta, it makes it better. Yea, it's not perfect. But it does an excellent job of showing the EFFS's decent into madness. And gave us a logical,if twisted, birth of the Titans.

Dazzio
That looks really good Rock, love the weathering and the explosions look really good, something I have got to learn how to do. Was fun watching it come together, the Astray idea sounds really good. Could add a few Mursames into the mix too? Kind Regards, Dazz
