davecov
My build of the Airfix 1/12 Black Prince (02502-7): A straightforward OOB build that I enjoyed making very much. Dave
Sgt.Squarehead
For some reason I was expecting an up-gunned Churchill.....Then I saw the scale! Smashing work Dave, on something I wasn't aware of at all.
keefr22
That's very nice Dave, lovely painting & an excellent metal finish on his armour! Not something you see every day, & certainly not to that standard! Keith
davecov
I bet you wet yourself, Andy! Thanks both of you! Dave
giemme
Amazing! Can you please explain how you painted such a perfect rendition of metallics? TIA Ciao
davecov
Thank you very much giemme. I used Alclad 2 Chrome (ALC-107) sprayed over Alclad 2 Gloss Black Base (ALC-305) for the armour and I brush-painted Humbrol 53 Gunmetal for the chain mail. Dave Damn, here was me thinking you'd have done it the traditional way...........sand and vinegar! Very nice build and finish Dave. Is the 'pig nose' bassinet interchangeable with the 'dress' helm? davecov
Thanks Paul. I tried to get the helm over his head for the photos but it got stuck on his head above his nose! Shame really as he would have looked nice with the helm on. BTW, I forgot to say that I brush-painted Humbrol 16 Gold for the er... Gold! PhoenixII
Thanks Paul. I tried to get the helm over his head for the photos but it got stuck on his head above his nose! Shame really as he would have looked nice with the helm on. BTW, I forgot to say that I brush-painted Humbrol 16 Gold for the er... Gold! Dave I don't know.....people with BIG conks noses (don't want ANY misunderstandings!) AGAIN???!!! First no use of sand and vinegar then you say NO to working gold, you can't half burst bubbles! Here was me thinking you had taken a valuable commodity, worked same and come up with the wondrous result we see here. NOW you tell us it's PAINT?! Still a cracking build
