HMS Dreadnought SSN Royal Navy's First Nuclear Powered Submarine

Recommended Posts

Another addition to my 1/700 Royal Navy Submarines, HMS Dreadnought.

Its painted in enamels, satin black for the hull and matt black for the non slip walkway (which is hard to make out in the photos).

At this scale theres not much to the kit, 6 pieces including a photo etched propeller, but its the only model of this important submarine currently available.

So all i need at this scale to complete my post war submarines of the royal navy, are a porpoise class, explorer class and a swiftsure class. This does not include the modified submarines such as T class and Amphion class, which i wouldnt say no to.

Moving on to US submarines with a bit more colour, black and grey/red LOL (the akula and unpainted submarine are works in slow progress)

All the best Chris
