stevehnz
I'll probably buy one, but that didn't stop me right click & save on many of the photos in that article, quite superb. For reference only of course. Steve.
Truro Model Builder
John Dibbs' work has always been worth stopping and looking at. That shot of the nine-ship formation is truly stunning.

At Sea
FR-G is EB-G, the wing cut off the serial in the picture. I spotted it too! It says a lot about the aircraft in question that after 70 years and go knows how many books, films, memoirs, TV shows... it can still gain an audience and as said above this book will sell well. Nice to see so many high definition pictures of restored aircraft. I find it easy to be blase about the Spitfire at airshows etc as they are 'part of the furniture' but one day they will have to stop flying, and books like the above will be a fine record of them. Incidentally the 11 ship formation was shot over Beachy Head last year, I was fortunate enough to be right underneath on a ship when it happened. The Skyvan was pretty cool as well! Nick Belbin
Fourth picture down - the wing crops the code; combined with the roundel it looks like FROG . . .
