HL-10
This is the Italeri kit. I added some wiring and the aerial cables, but the rest is OOB. The overall yellow finish was a problem to get the finish I wanted, not sure if to leave it gloss, or matt. screenshot software screenshot on pc upload pictures free imagur image hosting free no registration free image hosting how to screenshot on windows Thanks for looking
keefr22
That looks very nice, if it were me I'd leave the finish just as it is, it looks just right! Lovely Wessex! Keith

heloman1
Good job, yes as above the finish great. Unfortunately Italeri gave a set of marking for a training airfame from RAF Shawbury. The RAF never flew the HAS Mk3, certainly not your faut. Thanks for sharing the pics. Colin

Good job, yes as above the finish great. Unfortunately Italeri gave a set of marking for a training airfame from RAF Shawbury. The RAF never flew the HAS Mk3, certainly not your faut. Thanks for sharing the pics. Colin Cheers for that, didn't know that. I saw pics of this airframe online, but I didn't realise it was a training airframe. Looks good in the yellow though
MickE
Looks great. I would leave it as it is as the real RAF Wessex aircraft were glossy. Mick

Jonners
I think that this was a training airframe at Cosford for a while; I remember doing a bit of a double-take when I saw it! Clearly it wouldn't do to have RAF trainees working on something with 'Royal Navy' on it! Mind you, Shawbury was quite happy to have a charred-looking RN HAS.3 on the fire dump at that time. Read into that what you will!

It's a pity Italeri didn't state such on their instruction sheet. How har it was for them to find the subject, when so much else was available beggers belief...
