rammius
Hello together, can you tell me please if I can use primers developed for enamels (like revell`s Airbrush email basic) and then to spray over them acrylics like AK Interactive ? Cheers
Space Ranger
Yes, you can. The general rule is: Water-based paints ("acrylics') over oil-based enamels over lacquers.

Cheers Not sure why you would want to do this. If you use the primer Stynylrez which is the latest stuff you will stick to acrylics and with out any problems of a mix enamel to acrylics Dries for over painting sand papering and filler within the hour. Sands to a feather edge. Laurie
Rich G
Further to the last, Ultimate primer from ultimate modelling products is re-badged Stynylrez if you can't find any in stock. It's very good stuff. Rich

LaurieS
Yes, you can. The general rule is: Water-based paints ("acrylics') over oil-based enamels over lacquers. Just Michael to be a pedant apologies. Vallejo Mig Ak and Lifecolor are water soluble paints. The dryers and thinners are designed to enable good brush airbrushing. One of the most important features to enable the paint to flatten out with out forming curtains in the finish. Plus to dry quickly. Just mention this as if you use water to thin you will lose the inherent properties of the above paints. Water sticks to it's self and is reluctant to flow.
