Both awaiting their fate at the scrappers The city of Portsmouth put a bid in to buy the Lusty but it was rejected in favor of scrapping her. HMS Endurance has had her name and pennant number painted out for some strange reason. sailorboy61
Endurance probably moving shortly then if the name/number have been scrubbed. No (more) embarrassment when she sinks halfway to Turkey!
alpine_modeller
Sad pictures of HM Naval Fleet. Lusty looks like she could still do the biz (for wont of a lick of paint..) The T45 situation is just plain embarassing. 3 in port. And I dont see Harpoon on any of them. Edited May 29, 2016 by alpine_modeller
Martian
Great pictures! Sadly I felt from the day she was decommissioned that the politicians never had any real intention of preserving Lusty. Martin

HMS Victory is still in commission http://www.royalnavy.mod.uk/our-organisation/where-we-are/heritage/hms-victory"HMS Victory continues to be a commissioned warship of the Royal Navy under her Commanding Officer and ship’s company and is the flagship of the First Sea Lord." Rob 1
It's a real shame they couldn't save even one light carrier for museum or some other purpose. Once the two new big carriers (QE/PoW) are in service, they may not build any more for many years. Edited July 9, 2016 by Rob
