Mike Starmer
The best reference I have is Capricorns Publications 'Army wheels in detail series, AW03' Morris Commercial C8 Quad'. ISBN 978-80-903945-1-3. This has close up details of chassis, interiors. springs, engine bay, rear winch and suchlike. I used it to construct the winch and tow bar to my Airfix model. 1/35 scale drawings of all versions. The art profiles are dodgy about colours so don't copy those without checking first. The Caunter pattern is totally wrong.

Andy Moore
There's a walkaround of a Chevy 12 cab here. Not the Ford that the Tamiya kit represents, but it might be useful. The engine's different in the Chevy, along with a few other details, but they're pretty similar otherwise. Andy
Ivor Ramsden
Try a google image search for CMP Ford cab 12 FAT which will bring up loads of photos including some cab shots.

Pete M.
The best reference I have is Capricorns Publications 'Army wheels in detail series, AW03' Morris Commercial C8 Quad'. ISBN 978-80-903945-1-3. Unfortunately that book only covers the Morris C8 Quads (although a great reference for the new Mirror models C8 kits). The closest to cover the old Tamiya kit is the Wings and Wheels productions book FAT (WWP R079) that covers the Chevrolet, Ford and Morris Quads, but the photos only cover the early No.12 Cab Chev! The early No.11 and 12 cab Fords were very similar in the body and layout to the Chevvy, but have many detail differences inside the cabs (engine cover, dash layouts etc), the axles, and some other differences in the chassis rails to accommodate the Flathead Ford V8 motor instead of the straight 6 motor used in the Chev's. I would suggest having a trawl through the 'Soft-skins' section and the 'Restorations' section of the Maple Leaf Up Forum at http://www.mapleleafup.net/forums/index.php where you will find much more than you really need! Warning...be prepared to spend many hours there if you do enter!!! Cheers, Pete M.
