Rome wasn't built in a day, but this was: P-39N

Recommended Posts

Yesterday Mark suggested a 24-hour build in honour of Mike (BM owner)'s birthday. Never one to turn down a challenge, i accepted!

I started at 8.45 this morning with this: (Pics are timestamped - no cheating!)

And finished a while ago with this:

First time I've ever tried anything like that, and very pleased with the result! It's not a subject I'd usually tackle, and in a scale I would very rarely venture into.

Happy Birthday Mike!

I don't know how you managed it, well done Alan.

It started off as a bit of a joke, but when i realised i might just do it.....

So, what did you do with the rest of your time that day?

ha ha :) , it was probably only about 4 hours actual build time, if that. Spread across 12 hours so had plenty of time to do all the other stuff. (Not work, obviously, i don't bother with that stuff.)

Thanks for looking in, I can only suggest you try it one day if you can.

How did you manage that in a day!? That would have taken me a couple of months......and it still wouldn't have looked this good either.

Lovely build, very nicely finished too.

A full days uninterrupted modelling must be sheer joy.

Nice an clean build but the black Decals with the red lines are wrong direction. The red belongs to the back. It`s the sighn not to walk on the flaps.

Best regards.

Stefan

That makes sense!
