HMS Bulwark 1984.

Recommended Posts

Modelers,

This carrier is not yet available. But it would be a nice 1/350 model.

Revell or Airfix!

Enjoy.

Orion

My old ship, went to Hong Kong in 1967 for the "Paper Tiger" riots.

But why 1984? She'd been decommissioned and scrapped by then.

I remember looking around Bulwark when I was still at school (1960's) when she was in Liverpool, I could not get over how thin and flimsy the sides of helicopters felt.

Cheers

Yes, Bulwark, Albion and Centaur were sister ships; although they all changed in appearance during their service lives as refits and modifications were done. In fact, up to the point of launch, even Hermes was a sister ship; however, by the time she went for fitting out the technologies had changed, plus lessons learned from WW2 and Korea, produced a completely different looking flight deck and Island structure.
