Calum
I'm after some advice on what combat loadouts for Jaguar Gr 1's had Cold war turned hot. I like the look of the 4 BL 755's on inner pylons, tank on the centreline and ECN/Philmat pod on the outers. I'm using the Kittyhawk plastic and I have Wingman BL 755's. But I'm open to suggestions. Fritag
That would be a realistic fit for a late 80's GR1a of 6 or 54 squadron.
Truro Model Builder
I suspect that had the balloon gone up overwing Sidewinders may have been in order as well. Squadron markings were likely to have been removed as well.
Hook
I suspect that had the balloon gone up overwing Sidewinders may have been in order as well. Squadron markings were likely to have been removed as well. The overwing rails were a Desert Storm haste job - I'd wager that the default 80's single underwing AIM-9G would have been fitted. tempestfan
Some time in the late 80s, LGBs were started (?) to being fitted, at least there's a series of Geoff Lee photos of 6 Sq a/c showing those. The inert blue looks very attractive, but I have no idea if those were tests only at the time.

Phone Phixer
The AIM 9 capability came with the upgrade to GR1a standard around 1983. The missile would be on the port outboard with a Phimat chaff pod on the stbd. (It was possible to have an AIM 9 on both wings). The KH kit has a Phimat pod but needs a PJ70 lightweight adapter adding between the pylon & pod. As for roles, the BL755 load could be for the close air support from the Coltishall sqns. The Bruggen wing was probably more with regular 1,000lb bombs. Of course you could go for all out Cold War heat up, a Bruggen Jag with a WE177 nuke on the centerline!! Rob. jmc.pt
Where can I get pylons for carrying double BL755s (for a total loadout of 4x BL755)?... as far as I´m aware, KH supplies single BL755s pylons. Regards.

Muzz
The double tandem adaptor comes supplied with Airfix/Revell kits. Could always see if someone has fitted wing tanks and not used them, in fact I have but not sure if I kept all the bits n bobs left over. I'll have a look. Selwyn
But I´ve seen pictures of Jags with double BL755s under each wing... now I´m confused. Easy. Single BL755 fits to aircraft pylon. Double BL755 fits to twin bomb carrier fitted to Aircraft pylon. The quote in your post was; "as far as I´m aware, KH supplies single BL755s pylons" There is no such thing as a "single BL755 pylon." Phone Phixer
As Muzz said, the only supply of tandem beams to be fitted to the inboard pylons was from Airfix/Revell. There are no aftermarket options.

Phone Phixer
You can get the tandem beam bomb carriers from David J Parkin as part ot his Jaguar update set. Regards Glenn. They are only in the 1/72 set. Calum said he is using the Kittyhawk kit, so he must be looking at 1/48.
Calum
The Kittyhawk Box art shows 2 X BL 755's on what I assume is a tandem adapter. So I foolishly thought they'd be in the kit...... Edited May 7, 2016 by Calum
Calum
As for the Tandem pylons I have the Airfix Gr 3 kit so I can rob them from there or scratch build someI've starting building the Kittyhawk (See here) but I'm not enjoying the experience as yet.....
