ReccePhreak
I am getting ready to start on my Mi-24RKhR NBC recce Hind conversion, but have a question. I remember reading somewhere that the tail boom is too short on the kit, causing the main rotor to hit it. Does anybody know how short it is, and where the extension should be made? Thanks for the links. I already have a pdf copy of the book, I just need to get the plans printed out at 1/48 scale. I also have looked over your build, very impressive. I won't be doing as much work on my kit as you did. Just fixing the tail, then converting it to a Mi-24RKhR NBC recce Hind, using the Heliborne conversion set. I also have the Cobra Company exterior detail set. Larry Edited November 29, 2016 by ReccePhreak correction
exdraken
it is not only length it is also the angle of the "tail fin" that needs to be corrected a bit! but with the plan printed out in 1/48 you should easily see what to correct. CMK provides this fillet, but is still a lot of work! you could do it yourself also! edit: finally found this set: http://www.heliborne.com/48007.html looks interesting!
