Late WWII German 75mm shell-case colors

I'm hoping someone can help choose correct colors for the shells supplied with my PzKpfw IV H. I have read in a couple of references that late in the war Germany started using steel shell-cases. According to these sources the steel shell-cases were prone to oxidization causing them to "stick" in holders/breech blocks. To counter this the steel shell-were coated with a lacquer paint. Some times the lacquer was tinted green. I have also read that some manufacturers used a green paint to coat the shell-cases. I would like to do a "mixed batch" of brass and steel shell-cases. I do have a couple of questions that I hope one of the "Experten" can answer:

Is there a link to some photo's online? (And yes , I have tried Google but haven't found anything helpful. If anything the water gets more muddy).

Is the green paint story correct?

Has anyone a reference or photo of the green tinted varnish?

Maybe it would be safer to stick to a coat of matt varnish over the steel coat but the green colors would add a little more interest to the ammo bins.

Cheers,

Julian
