Revell emails and primers

Hello guys,

I have almost all paints emails - most of them revel some Mr Hobby also.

My question is, do I need to give a coat of primer also ?

I think you mean enamels rather than emails . You don't need primer with enamel paint but I think you do with acrylic paint.

I would try to with Revell enamels, not essential though if you really don't want to!

I always prime a model no matter what kind of paint I'm using for the final coat. I take the view that the main point of priming is to show up defects which can be corrected before applying the final coat of paint. I agree with the wise modeller who said that you should think of priming as the last stage of building and not the first stage of painting.

Alclad 2 primer micro-filler is very good if you have a less than perfect surface.
