TheBaron
Quote And then I noticed this . I see you've quoted my motto there Simon! I don't blame you for slipping over to Flicker from PB; I found the latter a complete pain. That new compressor looks like it has plenty of oomph - I hope it's working out OK for you? Whatever your fancy plan is you're gonna have to tell us soon! Loving your work, Tony

Spookytooth
Well folks, I am still keeping stum about this idea for replacing the rivets ( the missing ones that is.) And yes Giemme, that`s what I have done. With work, wife, wedding anniversary, kids and grand child, I have no real work time at the bench. (I had to clear it all away when our granddaughter comes around (the bench is in the front room) (little hands). But I was able to sort out the underneath of the bench. From dumping ground to sort of tidy. And you can just see the spray booth trolley to the left. I hope to get some more done this week.. Simon. giemme
That's what I call a tidy workbench! I reckon you and @CedB are in a different category in that respect. My workbench looks like as if a bomb has just been dropped on it, and that's when I clean it up! Well done Simon, little kids can get to that kind of stuff in no time Ciao
Spookytooth
Not a lot done but a step closer. The nose area cleaned up. And also the nose-bay area too. And the back end has been attacked again. You can see some mis-alignment here but I am going to wait until a coat of primer is laid down before deciding which way to go... As always, all comments welcome. Simon.
giemme
Yes, we need to see some primer on before going on Ciao
The Spadgent
Nice work! But yes primer. Johnny
TheBaron
I always find a blast of primer helps in assessing how much more needs doing surface- wise as well Simon so I reckon that's a shrewd move at this stage. Keep it up! To ny
Spookytooth
OK folks, primer is on, the upper surfaces. And she does not look to bad. Nose area, still but will check once the undersides are done. Those panel lines look like they need a tidy. The slime light need s run of TET but other than that OK. And the other side. I hope to get some more done tomorrow . Once done I can try out the cunning plan. All comments welcome. Simon.
Gremlin56
The primer coat pulled things together nicely Simon. You have done a very good job on the sanding, smoothing and rescribing. The TLC will pay back big time when you add the top coat of paint.
TheBaron
Amazing the difference primer makes in unifying the surfaces isn't it? Nice one Simon. Tony
giemme
She's looking good under her primer coat, Simon A bit more of PPP and she's sorted, I think Ciao
