Hunter Rose
Okay so I got the mlliput on the arms to smooth over the joints and also remove the web detail. And then i grabbed the 80, and 180 grit and ahain sanded the crap out of it, then used 400 grit to remove the rough sand marks and smooth it. And blasted primer to check it. Pretty pleased with him, definitely no more putty needed maybe just a small bit of sanding here and there. Next up I'll have the fun of the forearms which are pure web detail! Oh joy. Hunter Rose
Right update time! Sanded down a few more spots after the last round of priming And I made a start on the forearms, urghh so much detail to cover! So i rolled out some milliput and laid it over before smoothing it with water. And actually sanding out the detail on the forearm itself was pretty easy, wrapped some sandpaper around it it and just kept turning. Then i primed it all again including the legs which i did some touch ups on, and once dry i mixed up a thick milliput slurry and smeared it on a few bits that need sorting and the web detail on.the hand. So that's how its looking, next I'll be sanding down the hands and probably using more milliput! Thanks for looking, more soon

Hunter Rose
He is looking fantastic, how long before we see some paint? Thats the million dollar question! Not long hopefully, just need to sort out the hands and the torso seams once its together and make some forearm spikes. Looking nice now, much better for the loss of the web detailing. Matt Cheers Matt, yeah nice and clean! Okay so just a quickie, i got the arms on, just drilled a hole for some wire and stuffed the forearms with greenstuff. Then smoothed over some milliput to covervthe horrendous join Thanks for looking, more soon

Hunter Rose
Yeah we did look at that, but its a pretty naff not-very-spiderman-pose compared to this one (but jesus yes it would have been so much easier!!!!!!)
Will Vale
The torso looks really good with the arms and hands attached - very dynamic. Cheers, Will

Hunter Rose
Thanks guys! I just sanded down the arms and primed it to check how it looks, and its pretty good for the first go. The hands still need sorting but i couldn't resist getting him together! Did my usual think of packing out a couple of drilled holes with greenstuff and a lot of super glue. So 1 more monster join to sort out! Next its back on the hands. Thanks for looking, more soon

Hunter Rose
Another quick update got puttied and sanded the middle join, and got the hands sorted then I gave it a sanding and a blast of primer. I've reeeeally had enough of filling and sanding with this! The surface has just a few little marks I'll clean up and i can live with the rest. Next up I'll start on the forearm fins/blades then once they're sorted I can finally lay down some damn paint! Hunter Rose
Had a good little shed session today, actually got to do something different, I've made a start on the forearms. Drilled some holes and put in some coated wire to act as my supports for the fins. Once they were superglued in i got out the milliput and had a go at shaping the fins. Im pretty happy with that, once its dry i can sand it to smooth and shape it a little more. Next up I'll do the other arms blades.
