Knikki
Calling this finished. Its not as good as I wanted but I am still learning, somethings worked, some did not, overall I am kind of please with the way she turned out, however there is room to improve. And comments welcome.
giemme
Looks good to me, painting large area with a single color isn't the easiest job ever! Not sure if it's the pics, but it looks like you haven't used any washes, is that correct? As a minor tip, I would suggest to use a darker blue tone, very thinned, to reach recessed corners and creases (same for the other colors). What scale is this, BTW? Knikki
Thanks for the comments, Scale is 54mm. I did use some wash as I found I had a blue ink which got splashed over her, and into the recesses, on the bench it looks OK think I have lost some of the details in the photos I took. However looking at them this morning I think I need to change the way I take the photos, in fact think I will take some more this weekend in daylight and repost. giemme
54mm???? I'd have said it was 120mm!!! This isn't a good job, this is brilliant! And now I understand why it was hard to capture shadows in those pics ...
Bengalensis
I think you're very well, especially considering how small she is (at least compared to the ones I'm usually trying to paint). That's a good job. I would agree with giemme that she would benefit from slightly more of darker washes in the deeper recesses, but on the other hand if that would be overdone it would no longer be an improvement at all... Well done!
