Light Tank Mk VI France 1940

Recommended Posts

Hello

Here's the little 1/76 Airfix Vickers Light Tank Mk VI, representing a vehicle of the 4th/7th Royal Dragoon Guards, 2nd Infantry Division, retreating along a road in France in May 1940, with the Germans in hot pursuit...

I wish I'd opened the turret hatches now, but I did fill in some of the trench-like panel lines, and hollowed out the MG barrels and smoke launchers.

It fits quite nicely on the old Matchbox Krupp Protze diorama base too!

Thank you.

I have to say,I enjoyed painting the base more than the tank - but that's because I'm going through a bit of a 1970s Matchbox nostalgia fest at the moment!

I hope to post a few more soon.

Ian
