rbeach84
Óttar you reference the above link on Page 43 (really manual Page 42) use of the term "cockpit floor" Please see photo below ..I took a different manual photo of the wing top that has labels and and took the linked manual Page 42 references to "cockpit floor" and pasted them on this photo .. you will see they are on the wing top ... HBB, great picture, though it wouldn't matter since Ottar was (probably...) being intentionally contrary... aka a 'troll'. There was plenty of posted evidence proving this feature. Curtiss' wing design was rather cool & practical. Got a wing with most of a side blown off? Unbolt the center seam and attach a new one (assuming the other panel wasn't crunched in a crash landing...) Also packs up easily for shipping purposes. Cheers! Homebee
Source: Curtiss Tomahawk MK. II B Fighter The British Commonwealth Air Forces Kit No# FB4007 1/48th scale The British RAF used the P-40 in the western desert with some great success – the shark-mouthed tan-camouflaged “Tomahawk” as they called it, was an excellent ground attacker and these struck fear in many a truck driver on the North African roads. This version of the P-40 comes with many features but notably the resin figure in 48th scale of the Australian ace who flew the Tomahawk Clive R Caldwell. Caldwell was the highest-scoring P-40 pilot from any air force and the highest-scoring Allied pilot in North Africa. He looks pretty detailed here. This new version of Bronco’s P-40 has several features of note: V.P. Edited July 21, 2016 by Homebee
