Pawel Szczudlyk
Hello guys I have decide to start this topic to motivate my self to work on this one and learn a bit. This time will be model form Mirage Hobby wich is quite basic but well detailed. It was not expensive so I can go with weathering later on.I have copied some info about it from Armorama ( hope they don't mind that )In the 1920s, the Polish Army acquired some 135 Kergesse halftracks from France and converted 90 of these to armored halftracks by adding an armored superstructure. These vehicles were subsequently called the Model 1928 armored cars (wz. 28). Low speed and durability of the tracks led to rebuilding of one vehicle by exchanging the tracks for wheels. This first prototype vehicle was tested and subsequently standardized in 1934 as the Model 34 Armored car (Samochòd Pancerny wz. 34).Total production amounted to 87 vehicles from different factories with three major sub-variants (differing in the way the superstructure was built, engine and some other details). The major variant with 60 vehicles produced was the wz. 34-II, which had a stronger engine and sloped back armor. There were two different armament variants, with the first one fielding a 7,92-mm-Hotchkiss wz. 25 (Model 1925) machine gun and the second one a French 37mm SA-18-Puteaux-L/21 gun. Armor was 6-8mm and the vehicle had a crew of 2. There was no belly armor, but instead wooden boards were used as the fighting compartment floor.By the time of the outbreak of WWII, the vehicles were hopelessly obsolete, but were nevertheless used with some success against German armor. All vehicles were either destroyed or fell into German hands. The Germans used some of the vehicles in the occupation of Poland and sold 18 vehicles to Croatia in 1941 for anti-partisan duties. No wz. 34 survived the war, but several replicas were built on the basis of other vehicles. This, of course, means that there is no original vehicle to take measurements from for an accurate model or to judge the accuracy of this model. After oppening box we can find two sprus with parts and colour leaflet with painting schemes which is really good and a manual which is ok but very simplyfied.I think that for about 7 quid is ok This is a close up on a turret. all rivets are nicley done and reces line as wellSome pictures fom my current production linethat's all for now. Thanks for looking.cheers

Pawel Szczudlyk
AndyC this is really nice especially in that difficult camo. Well done! I did some job today as well. The quality od this model requored a lot of linishing and filling gaps but i think its wort it. I have done undercarrige and a turret... that was a bit of a pian cos a manual is not that accurate Tommorow i will carry on with the wheel arches and if i will find time wheels them self.
AndyC
Thanks mate. It's a great little kit and I'd recommend the little Ford too as a fellow armoured car. Mirage do some great pre-war armour. I have one of their Vickers tanks to do in Polish colours

I was hoping that this going to be a straight forward build but no...fitting is terible but I carry on Cheers. I had added wheel arches today. It should not be complicated job but it was. Fitting brackets does not fit the fixing points and after sort that problem out and glued them in place my kid use moment of me not paying attention and start playing with it which resoult brake them off... I had to sand down old glue and fix them. Now i dont know are they in good position ( talking about rear ones) but at least they are straight That's all for now... Pawel Szczudlyk
I was thinking about this build and I have decided that i will repaint it. i dont like colour i have used and I will do it better. I need to buy proper paint first. Second thing that i don't like is Hotchings mg... is to thick i will try to find some aftermarket part. So I have second model from Mirage company so I have decided to statr that one as well. It going to have same colours so i will paint them together. Second model will be &tp twin turret light tank After oppening box there is 3 spures with pars inside which are made quite decent. Not to much flesh on them and nice amount of details. plus i will use pe fret from Aber I'm looking forward for this one... See'ya
