Julien
Fiat CR.42 Falco. One of only four survivors Regia Aeronautica aircraft MM5701 is on display at the RAF Museum in Hendon, pics mine. This aircraft was captured on 11 November 1940 when it suffered an overheated engine and was forced to land on the beach at Orfordness, Suffolk. During the summer of 1941, it was flown by the Air Fighting Development Unit in mock combat. At the end of 1943 all testing was complete and the aircraft was marked for preservation. 2
