Andy Young
Brilliant stuff!. For anyone interested, Zoe Quilter has scanned many old Aeromodeller magazines (and other titles too), they are available here: http://www.colinusher.info/model%20aircraft/images.html Andy. John B (Sc)
Takes me back. At 7/6, that Superfreighter was an expensive buy in those days. My pocket money didn't stretch that far, needed many weeks of saving! John B
T-21
Same here John,it was my first model that I can remember in Silver City Airways markings, possibly 1960 or 61 I was 7 and my father made it for me for my birthday. Remember getting the Airfix Avro Lancaster when I was 12 at the RAF Manby childrens Christmas party in 1965. I got 2/6d pocket money so 7/6d was quite a bit in those days.
