trekboy
Hi all, Hope this is the correct place to put this, I have purchased a model fron the USA and the tracking on the item says it has been stuck at customs clearance for the last three days, what is the next step will they get in touch with me or do I have to contact them. May seem an obvious question but this is the first time I have imported. Thanks in advance. Alan
GrahamS
Parcel Farce will write to you demanding a ransom - import duty or whatever it's called plus a mishandling fee (and incredibly, an extra fifteen quid if you want it delivered on a Saturday!). They will give you a reference number. You can then go to their website and cough up the dosh. Ask me how I know........... Graham

PhantomMajor
Try contacting through their website as the "Ransom demand" can take two weeks or longer
Jay
I had a parcel that was listed as In Clearance for 5 days before I had a delivery from PF. I thought I was going to get the ransom note as there was no tracking notice once it was received this end but they just turned up with the package, beaten but delivered. Andrew March
Wait until the tracking says this: customs charges applied, sorted at national hub, received at delivery depot. Then get the number for your local PF depot, be nice to them on the phone and they will give you the 17 digit code to pay your customs charges. You can then use the automated phone system or the online system and pay your charges.
