The wooksta V2.0
Mmmn! Could be tempted with one of those but want to see what Kora are charging first - most likely eyes, sockets, leg, arm and quite possibly penis too!
Madoc
An enterprising lad could most likely take a couple Ju-388 kits and bodge up a 488 out of them for a fraction of the cost Kora is charging for theirs. No ground equipment though.
The wooksta V2.0
Not that variant, the fuselage is completely different to the 488 V401 and the engines are Jumo 222s, not the 801TJs in the available Ju 388 kits. Trust me, I've scratchbodged a couple of Ju 488s in my time and the V403 isn't as easy as the earlier version. Not saying it can't be done, but it's a lot more work than the V401. JOCKNEY
Gents, the price on the website is £165, plus postage I shouldn't wonder ! I think I'll buy a couple of the old matchbox 188's and create my interpretation of the 488 and trouser the £150 change ! Cheers Pat
JamesP
The price quoted is in Euros and I believe Hannants are selling it for mere £125. I have no interest in the aircraft but have been shocked the way Kora and LF prices have rocketed over the last few years.
Graham Boak
You can get a couple of Jumo 222s from the Huma Ju288, so you'd need two of those, but you could probably use rather more bits - ok, the gun turret anyway. The wooksta V2.0
The Huma Ju 288 is the C model with DB610s.
Radleigh
What are Kora kits like in terms of quality of the resin etc? Never seen one in kit form..
The wooksta V2.0
Not bad. Not up to CMR standard but still good.
