Here comes HMS Vendetta 1/350 in plastic!

Hello everyone.

Seeing as it's coming out in 1918 configuration, I figured this was the place to put it.

Showcase models Australia has announced that their 1/350 scale V&W destroyer is in production

and will be shipping late March this year.

Pre orders will be taken in the next few days, just waiting on a price.

Alot of CAD work has gone into this kit, so it should be a accurate representation.

I believe after Trumpeter's Eskimo, this is only the second RN destroyer in 1/350.

Enjoy!

I can see this being popular among ship modellers, the V & Ws had a long & varied career so lots of opportunities for conversions & maybe after market.

Steve.

I'm really hoping this does well for Showcase and I am keen to get one even though I do 1/700

From what I know they plan on other V/W's namely those that served the RAN to the end of WW2 but you could easily build the RN ships as well.

This is going to be very tempting! I did a scratch build of HMS Veteran (my Dad's ship 1940/41) for Dad's 70th birthday in 1989. Would love to compare the two!

Hi Gents, very sorry to report that the man behind Showcase Models passed away in April and at this stage I have absolutely no idea what has happened or will happen to this project.

Hi you don't need to place pre order, i will mention in our website and facebook

once we have the kits. It will be around june this year. Thanks

so it looks like we will have the Model available to purchase this summer !!

I see that the kit is available on Hobbyeasy for roughly Au$56.00 or 34 Pounds Stirling.

I would take that ' release date ' with a HUGE pinch of salt - and I seriously doubt the Model is available to buy right now

I was informed directly by Showcase Models Australia  that the Kit was to be released in the Summer of this year and that the announcement

was to be made on their Facebook page when it was to be sold

I ordered 2 from Hobby Easy on 18 March and received them yesterday (Hong Kong to Australia).

Beautiful kit. One piece slide moulded hull. Each funnel is one piece slide moulded.  PE details galore.

The Hobby Easy website shows a release date of 3 April available for pre-order.  Maybe they sold the first batch out.

Hi Guys

Just to confirm that Showcase Models of Australia also have the kit available direct for sale , I am ordering mine from them on Monday

and build it as HMS Walker ( D27 ) - hopefully someone will produce an aftermarket etch kit for the Bridge Extension

which was fitted to some ships( but not all ) - interwar to increase the bridge space for the Crew

kind regards

David
