Aimee'sDad
Hi, can anyone point me in the right direction to a good source of information about how to resin?. Just bought a nice cockpit set and nozzles for my 1.32 Eurofighter and I've never used resin in my life!. But the kit parts were lacking, especially the nozzles... dragonlanceHR
Hi, do a search on youtube, there's plenty of tutorials. A couple of pointers: - do not inhale the resin dust particles, use wet sanding or coarser grit files so you have bigger resin particles instead of dust, and wear a simple painters mask if possible - use a saw instead of knife (do not use nippers) to remove the parts from pour stubs because the parts could easily break at wrong places - use CA or 2 part epoxy glues, regular plastic glues won't work - small molding flaws or pinholes can be filled with CA glue + filler (talc, microbaloons) and easily sanded - before painting, degrease the parts with some soap or dishwasher detergent - always prime the parts first, regular model paint doesn't stick well to resin without primer HTH, Vedran the milimeter brigade
PhantomBigStu
Wear a mask, I was unaware of the dangers so haven't when sanding on my Vulcan and I worried I've done permanent damage now I've read up on it
dragonlanceHR
Hi Stu, unless you had previous lung health issues, I wouldn't lose too much sleep over one resin kit. It is the prolonged exposure to ultra small inert dust particles that can be dangerous. Vedran

BritJet
All good advice above! You might also find it useful/inspirational to have a look through last year's non-injection moulded group builds - http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/forum/517-non-injected-moulded-group-build/ Steve
