Beard
Locating tabs for the tailplanes! And...an Aboukir filter? Oh boy! And no under-wing bulges for the cannon magazines... that'll mean making a Mk1B won't involve some tricky filing. Happy days.
Greenshirt
Based on the sprue pix, any cannon armed Mk I, IIb, or Vb can be made. Proper underwing bulges for each, both types of oil cooler, early (external armor) or late (internally armored Mk III style) windscreen, all three types of prop, and all three types of carburetor intake. Very nice! Tim

Beard
AND integral wing tips. I think the original AZ Mkv had full-span wings but it's still a good thing.

The wooksta V2.0
I think that Peter is intending to bankrupt me. I can see my wallet and Wor Lass being VERY unhappy with these developments...
Giorgio N
I like what I see a lot ! If the moulding quality is on part with the current AZ Spitfire IX, then here's a kit that will feature heavily in my future shopping lists. If the shapes are right of course. I like the variety of different parts in each box (props, exhausts, wingtips, filters etc). I like the solution for the two canopies, very interesting. If these will be followed as announced by a Vc and a XIV, then AZ will have quite a lot of my money
Jan Polc
We are not against to have a lot of your money Giorgio......

Beard
There's a Vokes filter on the second sprue (top left and top right on the third photo).
NPL
Great news, and a lot of nostalgia. Still have a big stash of the original Kopro Mk.IX's upstairs, from the 'good' old days. Loved their early MiGs, especially the Farmer. Nowadays I left 1/72 and moved to 1/48. So maybe, one day, Kopro will also turn some Spitfires out in this scale. A Spit XIV, and another stash will be built.

Relja
There's a Vokes filter on the second sprue (top left and top right on the third photo). Yes, but those photos are of sprues are for Vb, not Vc. Kits of Vc were always far more difficult to acquire than those of Vb.

As soon as I'd pressed 'Add Reply' I knew you were referring to the Vc not the Vb. Let's hope the Vc has both the Aboukir and Vokes filters.
davidelvy
Shame I have decided to stick with 1/48. I know some are fed up with Spitfires, but there is always room for improvement in all scales and the most beautiful aeroplane ever designed deserves nothing less. Kes
Is it me but do we really need another Spitfire? It's been done so many times! Can we have something under represented for a change Mr KP? . . . Kes (not trying to be provocative)
Basilisk
Is it me but do we really need another Spitfire? It's been done so many times! Can we have something under represented for a change Mr KP? . . . Kes (not trying to be provocative) Done yes, but not very well - specially the early marks. Looking forward to these kits and also the gun equipped versions. Cheers, Peter
