D1fuN0
Helloooooooooooooo everyone So I've decided to make a start on the unfinished pile... First up, Revell's 2010 Shelby Mustang On the whole, not too shabby. There could have been a lot more added to it detail wise, but you gets what you pays for. I'm not really a fan of Modern Cars, but I do like the look of the Mustang. I'm planning on doing it as it is on the box top, with a little detail added to the engine. Ill be using Gravity's Ford Grabber Blue and the kit details. I actually started this early December last year First up a shot of the assembled engine where i have just started adding some of the wiring. There is no plumbing included in the kit. The Shelby Covers have subsequently been removed and redone. Seating the engine, to see how it all sits. I trimmed off a little from the engine mounts because it wasn't sitting level Next couple of shots are fitting the gubbins and doo hickeys onto the engine There isn't actually a lot of wiring visible, but there are a few that are and the engine just looks lost with the odd wire here and there.... That's where I am at the mo, busy with the rear suspension at the moment, so more to follow.
roymattblack
Lovely one. Also in my stash for 'one day. I'll be looking to see what you add so I can 'borrow' a few ideas. Are the decals on the belts etc part of the kit? They look nice. Great start. Keep it coming. Roy.
D1fuN0
Hiya Roy Thanks for that Yes, the decals on the belts included in the kit, as are almost all the manufacture plates and stickers etc. The decals do look a bit shiny through the Camera, think ill cover them with some flat clear. vontrips
Looking forward to this, as I have one in its box gathering dust. Did you order your paint direct from Gravity in Spain? How do they perform compared to Zero?
D1fuN0
Hiya Vontrips I'm going to say something now that might cause a riot in the lower ranks.... Gravity is as good as, if not better than Zero Straight from the bottle, excellent coverage and easy to clean. They only sell in the smaller 30ml bottles, so it does appear cheaper, but in reality, the same price as Zero bottles. Good service and fast delivery (even to down here in Jo'burg). They also now do a one shot clearcote. Clearcote in a 30ml bottle, just enough for a 24th scale car or 2 bikes. Mad Steve

PZRGREN
How is this one getting along? I fancy getting the same kit! What did you use for the wiring/plumbing?
D1fuN0
Good morning Chaps Pzrgren, its on hold for the moment I'm busy wrapping up and closing down on site so things are a bit slow at the moment. The wiring is recycled wiring out of an old Mouse with a cable, as well as odds and sods of vinyl tubing from motorbike kits etc. Tubing has very thin wire inside it so that you can shape it better.
