Michaelvk
I finally finished this little guy, after languishing in the bottom of a display case for around two years.. I painted it with Vallejo silver grey over a Tamiya German grey preshade. Weathering was done using citadel and oil paint washes, oil paint streaks and oil paint shading and toning.. If that's a word?
Mechanised Dwarf
923 Nice "hunk 'o junk"! I love your paint/weathering job :-) I may have to use your pictures as "inspiration" for my little 1:241 ;-) Davros aka Mechanised Dwarf

Blastvader
The force is strong with this one!!! It is indeed! Fantastic job Michael, and thanks for the paint call-outs. I've been struggling to work out what grey to use on my Bandai example.
Michaelvk
Thanks guys! I must say that the lighting, flat coat and iPhone pics have sucked a bit of the life out of it.. There's a lot more subtle colour modulation going on than the pics are letting on.. It is indeed! Fantastic job Michael, and thanks for the paint call-outs. I've been struggling to work out what grey to use on my Bandai example. I basically stood in front of a rack of Vallejo and ended up going "it'll do!" when I found Vallejo silver grey. Glad I did too, I quite like it. I've got a rattle can of Tamiya AS-I forget which right now- for the 1:72, but I may just ditch that in favour of going the same route as this one. All the other colours were the kit decals, but next time I'll mask and paint them instead, as the greys were a bit too green for my liking..
