Not sure how Pascal polishes white metal, but a suede brush works well. You can get these from shoe shops, and they have hundreds of thin brass bristles. I have also used fibre-glass pen track cleaner for model rail track, a bit gentler, but will also work.

White metal shines really well, but goes dull very quickly with handling, so needs a coat of varnish to keep the shine.

Hi,

Thanks again for following the Kiwi Car WIP!

I mainly just use different grades of sanding paper and sticks, 0000 steel wool.

But I also use brass rotary tools and felt tools. Ceramic compound...

Test on the other version of the windshield.

Hi,

Thanks Stringbag!

First of all, sorry for the (very!) poor quality pics...

I will try to make some better tomorrow.

Brake calipers and the stub axle (?) were chemically burnished.

dsc08515.jpg

dsc08516.jpg

dsc08517.jpg

dsc08518.jpg

dsc08519.jpg

Brake calipers were "stolen" to the M19 in order to replace those supplied in the kit.

rear axle parts are prepared and drilled... too much drilled!

I had to play with the low temp solder in order to fill the hole in the lower part, then sand, but now it's ok.

dsc08521.jpg

dsc08520.jpg

dsc08522.jpg

dsc08523.jpg

Brass knobs for the dampers.

Same method than those done for the Ferrari 312F1.

They will be burnished.

dsc08524.jpg

Primer and paint for everybody:

Hi,

Few progress.

As usual, radiator is filled.

dsc08530.jpg

dsc08531.jpg

Better pics than those from yesterday:

dsc08532.jpg

dsc08533.jpg

Weld lines added.

It's a bit rude for now, but with primer and flat black it should be ok.

If not... I'll undo it and will make the weld lines with the iron as it was tested initially.

dsc08534.jpg

dsc08535.jpg

Dampers almost finished.

A Koni stucker was added...

Just now need a light oil wash.

dsc08536.jpg

dsc08537.jpg

More soon.

Hi,

Front dampers clear coated:

dsc08614.jpg

Not that happy with the weld lines I find pretty rude and out of scale...

I will decide what to do after "weathering" job on this side exhaust.
