UKguyInUSA
Hello Chaps, I'd like to share with you my completed build of the Revell of Germany newly tooled (last year) 1/32 Focke Wulf Fw190F-8. I usually complete a full build series starting with an in-box-review with updates along the way until completion, but, I've been really busy with a new house my wife and I purchased in December, and so, we're going backwards and forward with contractors. Anyway, I found myself with a spare hour and thought I'd spend it on here! I have to say, this kit is another "Great Value For Money" kit from Revell of Germany; fabulous engineering, quality molded product and a complete joy to build without the need for filler and zero fit issues and looks good built straight out of the box as I did, except for the addition of antenna cables using 1.010" black EZ-Line! Based on the cost alone....I paid $23.95 for it, which is around 16.00 quid when converted, I'd give this kit 5 stars. For everything else, 4.5 stars, just because the instructions are still in black and white, they don't provide alternative paint numbers and the box isn't a sturdy lid and base design. On with the photos, I hope you like her as much as I liked building and painting her! Well, there she is....if you'd like to watch my YouTube Channel "Build Update" and "Final Reveal" videos for this build, then here are the links to those: Build Update #1 video link: https://youtu.be/hwiTyVsZXvI Build Update #2 Video link: https://youtu.be/6hugFcFgpFA Build Update #3 Video link: https://youtu.be/vdPiuCH_0qo Build Update #4 Video link: https://youtu.be/0Bpdc0JwAh4 Final Reveal Video link: https://youtu.be/eSI_qcd9s88 Thanks in advance for taking a look at this posting, watching any of the videos and for your comments, greatly appreciated! jrlx
The level of detail, painting and weathering are superb. Congrats! My only suggestion would be to add some PE or superfabric seat belts. Cheers Jaime

Parabat
Really superb 190, nearly everything is perfect - just those crazy seat belts! A seriously impressive build though, the details and weathering are amazing, very well done.

johnny akes
I couldn't decide whether to tackle this or Meng's Me163 next, but I think your excellent build has swung it! Like you say, great value for money from Revell and you have done it full justice.
batcode
stunning build, some very nice detail and great job on the paint and finish....
FalkeEins
$23 USD ? - I'm pretty sure the RRP in the UK is quite a bit more than that in £££ so not such good VFM here. Sadly. Lot of plastic though. Decal seatbelts, needed to go on some foil or thin card I s'pose (I don't know, just wondering out loud..) but otherwise a superb build and finish
Duncan B
Great build, I agree with other comments about the decal seatbelt though and you might want to check the instructions as the pitot should be on the starboard wingtip. Duncan B
Spitfire31
Well, the only word I can think of to you, and to Herr Revell, is bravissmo! Superb build and finishing. The only detail that strikes me as not completely convincing is the decal (?) safety belts. Otherwise – wow! What a build and what fabulous value for money. Btw, did you provide the Hakenkreuz from your spares box or was it included, in a Revell Germany kit? Kind regards, Joachim
UKguyInUSA
Very nice. Looks like a great value kit Thanks Arfa, much appreciated! It is in the USA, apparently not so much in the UK with it costing more over there, than here.

UKguyInUSA
The level of detail, painting and weathering are superb. Congrats! My only suggestion would be to add some PE or superfabric seat belts. Cheers Jaime Thanks Jaime, much appreciated! Regarding PE and After-Market seat belts; I only build "Out Of the Box" for the purpose of the viewers of my YouTube channel and forum postings, to attain their own evaluation on whether the cost of the kit offers "Value For Money" for what is in the box. They can then decide if they think a kit looks good enough to not add extras, or whether they wish to add some. Cheers
Bordfunker
Lovely looking build of one of my favourite aircraft! I'd definitely look at replacing those belts though. Karl

UKguyInUSA
That's a very neat and tidy build with great weathering but those seat belts look dreadful. Otherwise great job. Thanks Nigel, much appreciated! On my YouTube channel and in my forum build threads, my goal is to present to the viewer what one can expect to get for their money straight "Out of the Box". I therefore build "as is" with no after-market, just the addition of antenna cables. I'll provide my assessment on whether, in my opinion, I feel it is a "Value For Money" kit, and from thereon, it is up to the viewer that might be interested in the kit presented whether they believe it to be "Value For Money" to them and perhaps help them to make a decision going forward. That said, I totally agree, the decal seatbelts are terrible. Cheers Martin
