From not knowing what you're going to build to this!!

She'll be a big beasty with plenty of room for extra detailing.

I have a feeling SEAC schemes will be quite popular for this GB.

Well good luck.....though I don't think you need it with the quality of model you produce, look forward to seeing her in the gallery.

O, hehehehehe I was still not sure of doing this one till this weekend.

Well about the detailing. I will keep it to a minimum. I will ad some seatbelts, wires for the engine and I have some metal gun barrels from Masters.

And I will also paint the roundels and codes myself. So nothing special.

I first wanted to ad a resin engine from Quickboost etc. But I don't have to much time for the build.

I have already started a build in the made in Britain GB. and on the 13th of Februari I also start two other GB's. So it would be nice if both models are ready by then.

O, and I am also in the process of starting to paint two tanks ( leopard 2A4 NL and a early Jaghdpanther)

Druk,druk,druk,druk!!!!! (Bussy,bussy,etc)

Cheers,

Thats going to take up a large chunk of display case or maybe you will do it in flight so it can hang over all your Luftwaffe subjects while strafing them :)

You could learn a monkey to fly!!! Takatakatakatakatakatakataka

Hehehehehehehe Unfortionatly it would need to fly over some Japanese planes

I have started the build with the engine. I made a few holes for the ignition harnes. Now that is done needs the engine a coat of paint.

for the underwings racks you need to remove a strengtening beam(?!).

At first I wanted to make it neat again for the painting, but I also made the bomb racks and after dryfitting I noticed that the beam was hidden by the racks. I have cleaned it up, but not polished.

I also made the air inlet that can later be painted.

I hope tomorrow to do the cockpit. Still need to find the seat harness.

cheers,

OK Rich, Here is the update. Done a lot today.

Here are some pictures.

I first made the cowling. I read somewhere that this wasn't easy. Well with some patience I managed it.

I made a different approach to the instructions.

First I glued the ring E8 to the aircooling/air inlet.

IMG_2789_zpsl7ties95.jpg

Then part D28 and lined it up.

IMG_2790_zpsc6jmb07x.jpg

After this I placed part D25.

IMG_2791_zpswi7xjlzs.jpg

and finally the part D11. I needed to fiddle wit this part a bit, but got in the end a nice cowling.

IMG_2792_zpsy5oashfe.jpg

IMG_2794_zpshjdoe5ds.jpg

After this I strengthen the glued surfaces with some extra glue. I used for this some contacta from Revell.

I also did a dryfit to see how it looked.

IMG_2795_zpsgoocc1vi.jpg

And I noticed that on the underside to the fuselage is a step. This will need to go later on in the build when I place the cowling for good.

It's not much, but quite anoying.

IMG_2796_zpsgqfmznzn.jpg

I also got the cockpit done. Here she is before painting

IMG_2797_zpsm6j8xubs.jpg

IMG_2798_zpseafxid0l.jpg

The seat got some seat belts from another build (P-51B from Trumpeter) I don't know if they are correct, but the info on the seat belts is to my knowledge a little bit a can of worms.

And the cockpit with some paint on.

IMG_2802_zps9pckf9hy.jpg

IMG_2801_zps8twiezom.jpg

IMG_2804_zps9jfotyig.jpg

And the engine and cowling were painted as well.

IMG_2800_zpstw5cvxql.jpg

So, this has been a buzzy day. Tomorrow I will start some detailpainting, washes etc. Before the cockpit can go into the fuselage and be closed.

This is it for now.

Wow you have been busy, plus you get an idea of the size of the beastie as well!

They didn't make life easy for you with that cowling, the instrument panel looks nice and should come out really well with painting.

Boy what a big beast. Hehehehehehe

As you can see the fuselage is closed. But before I did that I gave the cockpit a wash, detailpainting etc.

Here are some pictures.

The cockpit before everything put together.

And now some pictures after everything is put together except the instrument panel.

IMG_2819_zpsou8de89y.jpg

and with the instument panel as well.

Well you have already seen the fuselage closed so the last picture is of the engine after a dry-brush with some Alluminium paint.

IMG_2824_zpsjfkbvq6k.jpg

That is it for now. I hope to start tomorrow at building the engine up with it's ignition harness.

Thanxs guys.

I have build a few years ago a 1/32 Ju-87 D from Hasegawa and I think they are almost the same size.

Only the Thunderbolt is twice as fat as the stuka is. And it's a one seater!!!!!

Done some work today. I have glued the wings and have been bussy with the brass gunbarrels. The instructions from Master say that they can be swapped with the Trumpeter ones and for Hasegawa you need to make the wholes in the inner wings bigger. This is possible to do, but I find it the difficult to get the right length with glueing. So I took the difficult way and cutted them to length with my Dremel tool. Now I still need to drill a hole and a small piece of brass tubing put in and Than I can put them in after painting.

I also test fitted the wings and they fit like a glove.

I will try to get some pictures done tomorrow.

Here is a update of the last two days.

As I said yesterday I have modified the Master gun barrels.

Here are some pictures.

Here are the master gun barrels. Left in the picture the original one, mid the sawn one and right the modified one.

IMG_2834_zpswjgaqm7v.jpg

And here the modified ones with the original ones from the kit.

IMG_2835_zpsgqj6i4qp.jpg

And here a test fit in the wings. left original and right the master ones. They are a big improvement.

IMG_2836_zpsv77qyzci.jpg

IMG_2838_zpstzbqklla.jpg

IMG_2837_zpslh3auomm.jpg

As you also can see that the gun inserts are a good fit. After a close look on the pictures they need a extra swipe with a sanding stick.

I also modified the belly of the beast. After some sanding with a sanding block it looks much better. The step is gone. I also lost some detail, but this has been rescribed.

IMG_2839_zps1tulxzw8.jpg

And finally a picture with the wings and stabilizers in a test fit.

IMG_2840_zpsexu99hhy.jpg

That is it for now.

it's a shame you had to cut those barrels, but the look so much better that the original ones.

They are ment for the Trumpeter kit as a direct replacement. For the Hasegawa version you should make the holes inside the wing bigger and slide them in.The downside to me is that you don't have enough control with the length will curring of the superglue.

Now I used the Hasegawa ones to have the right length.
