Fishbed
Catching up with some builds from earlier in the year. This was the Airfix Swift as it came in the box except the pitot tube being replace by Albion Alloys tubing. I had intended the flaps being down, but managed to loose one (still no idea how). Luckily they are an easy shape to recreate (used the one I had as a template). Lighting was not great for the photography but as good as I'll get at this time of the year. jean
The Swift is growing on me and your very nice build is not going to change that! You've done it proud! JR
Mike DeTorrice
Very nice ! A fine-looking replica of this really attractive and interesting jet. Mike
keith in the uk
Great job on a great looking aircraft that sadly didn't live up to expectations. Airfix need a pat on the back for this one as up until recently all we had was the old Testors kit or the Rareplanes vac in 72nd scale would be nice if they considered scaling this one up to 48th scale like they are doing with the Defiant then I can put my Falcon vac form to bed. Eht1418
Looks good! This and some of Airfix's other offerings make me want to start a collection of '50s era RAF planes.
stevej60
And another superb Swift too!
Fishbed
Thanks all. A 1/48 Swift would be good too. But then a 1/72 Javelin would be too:-). Go on JR, you know you want too................... Tim
