I guess it would be possible to turn it into a Mirage IIIB, new nose, fin fillet and longer tailpipe? Easier than taking the Heller IIIB and combining it with the Eduard IIIC. http://scalemodel.forumactif.org/t1327-montage-1-48-mirage-iiib-n234-cev-cifas-328

I think with the way Kinetic is covering Mirage versions, IIIB isnt that far. I like the overall profile of IIIB and would love to build one.

Which Mirage version is this one? Can we build this version out of the box?

I would say a Mirage 5DPA2, and yes, you should be able to build this one with the Kinetic box... But not too sure about the smaller details like cockpit etc.

With regards to the IIIB, those are based on the IIIC and therefore quite different.  It is possible Kinetic will one day tool a IIIB, but then I would expect a IIIC first.

But this particular aircraft has a white fairing at the base of the vertical stabilizer. I dont think such tail exist in Kinetic's two seater.

Also this a Pakistan Air Force Mirage and its cockpit will be very different from the other jets. PAF jets have gone through ROSE I,II and III re-configurations and accurate detailing might not be possible.

Looking at the sprue shots on the Luckymodel link on a previous post, I think I can distinguish the longer tail base.  With regards to the cockpit and other small antennas etc, you might indeed be on your own, but I have no knowledge on Pakistani Mirages.

Sorry, what is the exact difference between Cheetah B and D?

My question as well, but it looks like the B has modified wheel doors, and I think it may have a front screen that does not have framework to it, I am gathering this mainly from the parts layout above. If so then I may need to amend my order from a D to a B, so I will check with John at Scaleworx tomorrow.

"Although the two-seat Cheetah is generally refered to as the Cheetah D, they are more strictly known as the Cheetah B, D or D2, depending on the Mirage III airframe they were modified from."

thanks!

so judging by the decals the Ecuadorian examples would the be Bs, originally coming form Mirage V (Nesher) conversions?

sorry for having to post this picture, but it is the most recent one available on the net:
