Julien
Airfix's Type 97 Chi-Ha Japanese Medium Tank. This is the latest boxing though the kit dates back to 1975 scale is listed as 1.76 or HO/OO. Hand painted with Humbrol. I missed the decals off as the sheet went MIA on the model desk. Base is home made It does not look that rough in real life, the camera seems to pick up every fibre of the MDF!
colin
Very nice and the base sets it off a treat
iwishicouldfinishmodels
The base is nice. Makes the whole piece look like some Japanese WWII propaganda.
Basosz
if you want to get rid of that MDF fuzz you could paint the sides with some water-diluted white glue (wood glue). The sides really act like a sponge. With the glue in, and a nice sanding session, those side should look very smooth
Hepster
Lovely job on the Type 97, a lot better than mine! Just to be pedantic - the Japanese Army used a flag with the ball in the centre - the off-centre ball is used by the navy.
Dugald
What a nice model - I remember making this one when it was first released in the early 1970s and your version is waaaay better than mine ever was !
Sgt.Squarehead
Nice.....This is still one of Airfix better AFV kits (the turret's a little squashed, but otherwise it's pretty good).
