85sqn
Hi folks, here is Special Hobby's 1/48 Fairey Firefly in the markings of 1771 Sqn onboard HMS Implacable in 1945. The kit was finished with Xtracrylix and also I used Alclad for the first time as an underlayer for chipping. I found the kit quite challenging in some places notably the fit of the rear canopy to the fuselage and a fair bit of filler was required here and there. abat
Fantastic. The paint and finish is impeccable and the chipping very effective. Your weathering is understated and therefore very realistic. Well done.

Navy Bird
Great workmanship! I'm building two of the 1:72 Fireflies from Special Hobby at the moment, and I like the way you've kept the chipping effect restrained. It's so easy to overdue this (done that many times myself) but I think yours looks just right. Cheers, Bill
