Max Headroom
I'll pitch in with my stalled 1/72 Airfix Hurricane I. It muscled in on my Spitfire I build for the BoB GB. It got as far as thisSince this photo was taken I had stuck on the canopy. It doesn't need much to push it over the line. The undercarriage, prop and aerial need sticking on and the camo needs matting down.More soon!Trevor

Max Headroom
Right then I've had a look in the box and found that there is slightly more left to do than I thought. Prop needs assembly and painting (I thought I'd done that) undercarriage to be placed and the rudder/aerial/pitot painted and glued in place. Oh and the canopy framing needs painting too. At my pace, probably a week? Whilst I'm at it, here are some (poor) shots of the real thing from the Science Museum a couple of weeks ago. I only had my iPhone and even with the flash it barely penetrated the gloom. I don't think it's been restored since the day it was hung. That wing leading edge light looks rather yellowed. Is the underside actually Sky? I thought it rather more a dirty white. Here is my Hurricane with Xtracrylics Sky. What do you think? Incidentally I went to the shop on the ground floor afterwards and no kits at all! However I counted four types of frisbee/boomerang. Go figure. Max Headroom
A small update for tonight. The prop has been assembled, the undercarriage installed (albeit that the tailwheel needs painting) and the aerial and pitot tube glued into position. The main wheels will receive my attention next. Thanks for looking! Trevor

nimrod54
Snap Trevor, I have a stalled Hurri too and it is at a similar stage, painted, main decals on etc. Unfortunatley mine has stalled again at the moment, this is looking good though. I look forward to seeing it finished.
Max Headroom
Small progress doing more small stuff as it were. Aerial, rudder, the rest of he undercarriage and associated cover, together main and tailwheels all painted up and the prop just needs its tips done in yellow. Tomorrow I will need to do the canopy framing. Then a pass with a Matt spray on the upper surfaces, attach the wheels, covers and prop and I'm there! Max Headroom
And it's over the line! The only mods I made were the obligatory Tamiya Tape seat belt and wing tip lights from sprue. The windscreen and canopy were tricky but eventually fixed with Bostik. Here are the pix. I hope you like! Trevor
