Hi guys, moving my Corsair build from the What if group build here: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234989320-royal-navy-fgr4-corsair/

to here as I didn't get it finished in time. Since a couple of people now have questioned the plausibility of the Corsair being designated FGR.2/3/4 in Royal Navy service I have decided to follow the advice and redesignate it S.2/3/4.

Now I'm busy designing the various masks that will be needed for the build. Two different mask sets will be created, one generic set for any Hasegawa U.S. Navy A-7E in 48th scale and a second set specific for the markings option used.

At least now I'm no longer in a hurry and can spend the time needed to get it right. I'm also tossing around another scheme, which is one of the Corsair's used in Operation: Sahara Ball. This operation was a rescue mission possibly in Mauritania? Not sure yet as I haven't had the time to sit down and nut out the back story.

Hi Richard,

Have you made any progress with your Corsair? The masks look particularly neat, as does the priming.

Andrew.

Hi Andrew,

The Cosair is on hold for now as I work on my Bandai Slave 1 and Millennium Falcon kits. I am also teaching myself all about filming, editing and making YouTube videos. So alot is going on behind the scenes here. When I get back to the Corsair hopefully there'll be video as well as photographic work and a story to show everybody.

Cheers

Richard.

I will be going through the laborious and time consuming process of updating my photos on this thread in due coarse.
