sailorboy61
Just doing the little Airfix gazelle and the rotors. Given them a coat of Vallejo aluminium then some hairspray to give a little chipping on the leading edge later, and finally more Vallejo black. I've tried several coats now, but every time it dries with a crackle effect showing the aluminium beneath. First time I've used this hairspray thing, am I doing something basic wrong? Guess its a sand back down to basics again now, though I suppose in theory, should be able to water wipe back to the aluminium?
Tomjw
As far as I understand, you need to apply several thin coats of hairspray and wait for each to dry. Then sparingly mist the to coat on in several layers so as not to reactivate the hairspray. Hth. Tom.
