I'm interested in Modelling this aircraft as it was the first jet to visit Dublin Airport in 1948 have an old Frog kit to use.

Can anyone help with the crest on it's nose I've got the Hugh Oram book Dublin Airport The History which has two decent pics but the nose item is very hard to make out it looks like a lion? anyone any ideas on colour and if decals are available in 72nd for this aircraft.

here's hoping

Do the pics give any other clues - squadron codes on the fuselage, perhaps?

PS. RA444 is recorded as having served with 257 Sq, then 205 AFS, then 4FTS, soc 19/7/54. It was coded R6.B in 1950, and there is an air-to-air photo of her in Fighter Squadrons of the Royal Air Force. The creature on the nose is not a lion but a chinthe, a token of the squadron's Burmese links.
