Julien
Seems we are keeping Sentinel into the next decade. https://ukdefencejournal.org.uk/sentinel-r1-to-remain-in-service-sdsr/?utm_source=FB&utm_medium=FacebookPage&utm_campaign=social Julien
Dave Fleming
That might just be 5 years. C-130J to 2030 and replacement for the Command Transport Squadron aircraft (32 Squadron) - there is already a new A109 under test
tonyot
Great news about the Sentinal and C-130J,.......there is common sense in the MoD after all! I wonder what 32 Sqn will receive at Northolt and indeed whether it will remain as an RAF unit or be fully privatised,......I hope the aircrew at least remain RAF (didn`t they also have at least one Matelot too?) and that 32 Sqn remains. Cheers Tony

Cheers Tony Tony, I'm not sure if it is still the case, but you are right - 32 (Royal) Squadron did have at least one FAA pilot on their strength when I last worked with them….I cannot recall if there was a reciprocal arrangement with Heron Flight though ? - I seem to remember the RAF exchange completed instructor duties with the FAA multi-engined training unit but that was a while ago.
