Has anyone tried a Carvair conversion yet on the new Airfix or old Mach 2 DC4?.I recently bought a Vacform conversion nose section on Ebay,to give it a go,as I had a Mach 2 DC4 that was rotting in the loft.I was going to try one using a redundant Magna Bristol nose section, and mod it to form the Carvair profile. However this was the first I have ever seen,so worth a try?

I saw that too. I have a feeling it was either Blackbird or Freightdog, but no doubt Glen and/or Colin will be along shortly to tell me if I'm wrong.

I need a couple - there are Ansett ones that have to be done ...

Scratch built nose grafted onto a Mach 2 (unjustly maligned) DC-4 airframe

Hawkeye decals. Both Ansett colour schemes available from Hawkeye in various scales.

As a side note, has anyone seen that a Carvair is active in the USA? Moving under it's own power..... not sure on the plans but it's going somewhere for a major overhaul and was flying on a special permit.

Would love a conversion I must admit....
