vontrips
Just a teaser for a project I started years ago and has been dormant for too long. Inspired by Roy's thread I have put this here to remind myself that I need to get back on it pronto! Not sure what the wheel is, but I bet Roy knows! Briggs Cunningham was keen on this design and used it on various race cars. I thought originally it was from a Mazzer as he was their importer in The States, but I think more likely it was from a D-Type? roymattblack
It does look a bit like a D Type wheel, but the D Type had an even circular wood rim - some were Bakelite - but they didn't have the 'sleeve' part on the rim for the ends of the spokes. Could well be a Mazer. Roy.
