capri-schorsch
Hi,today i start with a wip of my self build Porsche 956 curbside kit in 1/12 scale.I try to build the "Liqui Moly" car driven by Manfred Winkelhock. The kit is completly made of resin. Here are the kit content.I had to made some chances to the kit.The rear suspension have to be sanded a bit.The panel pin needs some snading to get it deeper into the mounting hole at the chassis. Also the rear fenders at the inside needs some sanding to fit the wheels properly.Same at the front inner fenders.I used a sharp chisel and sanded it at the end a bit.The hole body is wet sanded for the first time.I open up every air intake and the fenders and windows are thinned.Thats all at the moment.regardsChristian

capri-schorsch
Hi,Christmas is calling and i just find some time to color the Porsche. After the gray filler was done i used Tamiya white fine primer to get a closed white surface. At the end i made one layer of Tamiya TS-26 pure white to get a smooth surface for the decals. The decals arrived just in time from www.scalemodeller.de and they look marvelous.Perfect print and sharp edges. After a coat of decal bonder i started with the decal job. They are easy to use and went together well.Maybe i find some time after this evening Christmas market to get it ready for the clear coat.all the bestChristian

noeyedears
Interesting looking kit. How good was he resin body with regards to pin holes etc?
capri-schorsch
Thanks for the comments. How good the body was? Hmm..well.There are some bubble holes for sure. And they are mostly onto the wheels. But when you use the brakeducts at the front you only got two wheels with bubbles. In my mind its ok.But hey,its my kit and maybe i am not 100% objectively? :evil_laugh: Today i finished the body parts. And at least i clear coated the body. But i dont wanted to get a too shiny car so i used a semi gloss clear coat from zero paint. But i am not 100% sure if this is the right decision?I just need to sleep a night over and than take one or two look tomorrow.Thats all for now.I wish everybody a marry christmas.all the bestChristian
